We just received another round of Side Project Jerky from our friends in Philadelphia, and now we’re anxiously awaiting their coming collaboration with the amazing talented Jon Adams and Damien Pileggi of Rival Bros Coffee Roasters. Their second collab, Cowboy is a sweet and spicy jerky reminiscent of burnt ends, and like their first collab run in limited batches. And, once again, they’ll be donating the proceeds to charity.
Adams and Pileggi have selected Fresh Artists, a Philly non-profit that promotes access to art in K-12 public schools. Specifically, the proceeds will go to a pilot program called “Fresh Palates to Palettes,” where 8th graders from the Southwest Leadership Academy Charter school are exposed not only to art, but also to kitchens in an effort to explore different career paths.
Cowboy jerky, made and sourced locally, with proceeds going to the arts. Enough said.
